My second grade teacher at Columbia Elementary School discovered that I had "the Gift" to draw. Ever since then I have drawn, mostly pencil but anything with a point. I tried painting but except for sign painting and murals, I wasn't drawn to the brush. With the advent of computer graphics, I returned to school to learn Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, etc.

During a layoff from ARCO in the winter of 1981, I returned to school to study B&W drawing. Madge Gleeson should have been there when I was a freshman art major in 1966. This technical pen drawing on acetate of a mountain goat was one of the projects we were assigned.
