Most people drive right by many of the roads that wind their way into the Eastern Sierra Nevada Range on their way to Mammoth or Yosemite. Just west of Bishop is an alpine lakes area where you can drive right to North lake, Sabrina Lake and South Lake. We were on the road in the dark early morning to catch the alpen glow reflected in North lake. We were there just before the fishermen angling for trout along the far shore. Even after the sun rises in the sky, the area is stunning allowing my Nikon 14-24mm f2.8 to capture the beutiful lake, reflection and shoreline rocks.
